Ah biked to tha ocean

Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day everyone! Also, tha last day of President whas-his-face in office. Tomorrow everythang changes - fer a hawt minute at least.

Anyway, ah was fortunate enuff ta have a paid holiday today, which werked out very well as tha weather was quite awesome. High 50s/low 60s and sunny - perfect for a bike ride! So ah decided ta enjoy it just that way. Ah realized that ah have actually nawt seen tha Pacific Coast of SF since movin to tha area (ah visited briefly back when ah was checkin out tha city in Oct 08). Checkin google maps ah see thas about a 7 mile direct bike ride. Howevah ah took tha scenic route thru Golden Gate Park, b/c, well it's Golden Gate Park!

Ah intentionally took as indirect a route as ah could find, n don't know how long it took. Along tha way ah saw some familiar places ahve visited before, n lawts of back trails ah haven't. This was integral in learnin exactly HOW lil traction my current street tires have on thangs like gravel, mulch, and dirt. Important thangs ta learn. Ah also learned thar are Bison in GGP:

Ocean Beach

A bunch of people were assembled ta form a giant "YES" in tha beach in response to bush leavin tha office. Same people that brought you this:



It was another hour n a half away from tha shoot time so ah didn't hang around. Ah slowly made my way back to thru golden gate park. Briefly ah met a hippy named George who had two tiny barky dogs w. him n a bay dog that he told me was a hampster, haha. I borrowed some fire from him, chatted a bit, and he told me to "enjoy the trees". I assured him I would (And I did).

When ah made it home ah took a stab at some bbq tofu....lemme tweak my process before ah gae intae more detail. This was tha first attempt....nawt bad, but nawt great. Ah know ah ken dae bettah at least.

tomorrow ahm wakin up early ta gae ta werk n watch tha inauguration on tha screens thar. Fingahs crossed fer mimosas, but ah kinda doubt that'll come through.

Oh, n my beard is full - as full as ah think ah should let it git. Here's me at tha ocean today - keep in mind, ah trimmed this w. scissors today so it was even biggah yestahday!
